Pix from a Trip

It being our winter school holidays, I have been on a small trip to our family caravan down the coast. I took Harry (13) and his friend Sam (13). Harry is mine - he is the curly-haired boy. Sam is the blond boy. Like all teens, they think they know everything. I humour them by letting them believe it!

If these guys were King, lollies would be made an official food group, there would be no such thing as bedtime, and all children would would ride around on ATVs carrying AK-47s. Girls would not have been invented yet.

It was a bit chilly at 10 C (50 F) but we had fun anyway, surfing, go-karting, fishing, having bonfires, & going out in boats. I went trail-riding and had a wonderfully willing horse called "Warrior" - yee-ha!

Hope y'all are having a fun holiday,

whether it's winter or summer for you!

  1. Love, love, love the pics! Especially the horseback riding and roasting marshmallows - looks like an awesome time [and why wasn't I invited, ahem, heeeheee!]

If the boys were King they would get around to inventing girls in, oh, about a year or two? ;D

    Hugs and love!

  2. It's so strange to remember that you're in the middle of winter. We're dealing with 100 degree plus Fahrenheit temps here.

    Great photos, BTW.

  3. mmmm. I want a winter where the temp is in the 50s and the grass hangs onto the color green.

So happy you had a nice holiday.

  4. looks like a lovely family trip, one they will always remember. it's so important to make memories! good job!

    smiles, bee

  5. It looks like you all were having a Terrific time...! And I love your description of "if these boys were King" 47's huh??? Help!
It is hard to think of you being in the middle of winter....though here in Los Angeles, we did have some rather cold weather for early July...I had to turn my Heat on, two days in a row. But I think that is over now. (lol)

  6. Glad you had such a good time. I agree with Rudee about the winter!!! lol.
    Thanks for sharing your pics!!!

  7. your son is adorable!! What a fun holiday!
